Unit Labor Reports, January 1938–December 1938

1938

This series consists of statistical and narrative reports of work accomplishments by National Youth Administration (NYA) enrollees. The statistical reports provide the number of enrollees on the payroll during the month, the man hours of labor expended, wages earned, whether supervised by NYA (or sponsors) personnel, total amount of wages paid to supervisors, and race and sex of enrollees. For most statistical reports a certificate of sponsor's expenditures is included which lists the project numbers, type of work symbol, location of project, period of the report, and a description of the materials contributed by the sponsor activity. Narrative reports accompany most of the statistical reports and provide a description of the work accomplished during the period.
